This is our tribute to the L88 racers from 1968 and 69. The cars that went to Daytona and Sebring used GM flares, fixed lights and covers, and front spoilers.
We are using a 1970 roadster with both tops. We have the ZL1 flares and have added lower ground effects instead of rocker mouldings. We are also using a custom hood.
We are going to use the factory bumpers front and rear because this is primarily a street rod. The headlights are going to be the fixed, L88 style lights with Lexan covers.
We are using our round tube frame with C4 Corvette suspension. We also use the power rack-and-pinion steering. Out tribute racer is going to be a small block 427 based on a new Dart block. We are expecting over 600 HP. We are going to mate that to a T-56 Magnum 6-spd.
The interior will be one-of-a-kind using lots of aluminum and leather. There will be two sport bars behind the seats.
